Ok, so this is me. Magnus Carl Olov Staehelin Westman. 20 years old, probably older by the time you read this considering my low interest in updating this page. I prefer the summer before the winter, night before day, computers, movies, music... the regular stuff. After working part-time as a computer-technician and being un-emplyed for a year I'm finally going back to school to become a system administrator. I hope this will give me money... lot's of it. Both of these pictures of me were taken when I was sitting in front of my computer, guess it's kinda hard to catch me when I'm not. Anyway, ain't I a beauty? Now you're thinking "Hey, there's only one picture of that miss-happ here?" ... as I told you from the beginning, this page uses scripts for almost everything, just click the picture and it will change. This (mp3 - 0,8 Mb) is what it sounds like at one of our LAN's (beware, we speak swedish).

-= Music =- I listen to a lot of music, I have a lot of music, I enjoy my music a lot. That's why I dedicated this part of my page for music. Generally I prefer some sort of electronic music, trance, techno, drum'n bass, acid and so on... But I listen to a LOT of other stuff as well, trip-hop is VERY nice, Massive Attack and Portishead kicks azz for example. Some music is a little bit harder than other for me to understand though, commercial mainstream manufactured just to earn money on confused teen-age girls... (90% of MTV), love-songs from the 80's, trash/death-metal... *hmm*. Yup.. other from that I listen to everything from Clawfinger to Indian underground to Scotish folk-music to rape-me-hard-with-a-bulldozer-techno. Since I'm a computer nerd I keep 95% of my music collection in the common .mp3-format. An almost complete list of what I have can be found here. I do NOT use napster and I do NOT send music on request so don't even bother asking if you find something you like, buy the record. -= Computers =- Computers; nice piles of junk indeed, can be used for almost ANYTHING. Personally I spend WAY too much time in front of mine and I use it to do as much as I can so I don't have to get up and use something else. I have a permanent connection to the internet, one server that's always connected (the machine you're connected to now) plus my workstation though that one's almost online 24/7 as well since my FTP-server is running on it. Computers and the Internet doesn't replace everything though, just a lot, if you wanna be able to live life for real you still have to get up from that chair and go outside. My computer is used for the following tasks: TV (video-in GFX adapter) Game Console (GeForce + PIII + games + TV) Typewriter (Office + printer) Stereo (Denon PMA-655R + Dali 5005) Painting (Photoshop 1 2) Telephone/Mail (ICQ/SMS/E-mail) And now, of course, I have to give you the spec's:

Guestbook (I wonder why I keep that thing)

-= Games =- I have a tendancy to play WAY too much computer games, at least when I find a new one I like, I turn into this obsessed maniac that has to play at least 12h/day. If I DON'T have a game I usually just sit idle in front of my screen in order to get the 12h soothing flickering light I need every day. Right now I'm giving Diablo 2 another run for it after I installed the expansion "Lord of Destruction" before that I was amazed by "Max Payne". That game was _THE_ shit, I though Oni was a great action-game but I hadn't even seen what action was... and the story was one of the best I have ever played in. Get that game, NOW! Some other games worth mentioning might be "Jagged Alliance 2". Ok game, good set of rules, a little low on the RPG-feeling though, Fallout was WAY better on that but it lacked the tactical feeling. Fallout Tactics made up for that but then the RPG-feeling disappeared as well. Maybe it's impossible to make a combination of good tactical rules and good RPG-feeling? The best games I've played in each category are:

RTS : Starcraft - Broodwar FPS : Half-Life / Opposing Force / Blue Shift and The Wheel of Time FPS (network) : Unreal Tournament and Counter-strike RPG : Fallout 1/2 och Baldur's Gate Action : Oni and, ruining me for all games in the future, Max Payne. Adventure : Final Fantasy VIII
